Originally from Malaysia, Dr Fay moved to Australia when she was 18 to pursue her dream of studying Dentistry. As a young teen, she was very conscious of her crooked teeth and never smiled or would place her hand in front of her mouth whenever she laughed. By the time she was 17, she had two rounds of orthodontic treatment done to straighten her teeth and experienced the transformative power of orthodontic treatment and the profound impact a radiant smile can have on ones’ life. The memory of an old-school, stern orthodontist served as a catalyst, propelling her towards her career in Dentistry, dedicated to reshaping dental encounters into defining moments, filled empathy and care.

After graduating from the University of Adelaide in 2012, Dr Fay spent the early years of her career working in regional cities in Bundaberg, Queensland and Armidale, a town with a population of 25 000 in regional New South Wales. It was when she took a trip to Tasmania with Dr Bing back in 2014 that helped cement their decision to relocate and settle here, and in November 2015 they started up their very first practice, Prospect Family Dental right here in Launceston.

Dr Fay has travelled locally and internationally to attain further training in Cosmetic Dentistry, a three-year Orthodontic training program (braces), and on Clear Aligner Therapy, a discreet option for straightening without requiring traditional braces. She is passionate about Early Intervention Orthodontics amongst our young patients and is a strong advocate for keeping parents and families informed of orthodontic findings from your child’s first visit. Dr Fay is a certified provider of Invisalign clear aligners and has helped hundreds of patients with the alignment of their teeth, breathing new life into patients of all ages over the years.

Practicing with passion and through personal experiences as a teen, she understands your anxiety and is committed to working with you to get the healthy, straight smile you’ve always dreamed of. Dr Fay works very closely with Dr Bing and other dentists within the Innova Dental team for smile makeovers, and complex restorative and rehabilitative needs.

Now with two young children, she is busier than ever. When not on the tools sculpting smiles, you can find her busy sculpting playdough or building Connetix magnetic tile towers with her 5 year old son, playing hair and make-up with her 3 year old daughter. On Saturdays, you will most likely find her at the Harvest Markets with Dr Bing and the kids.

Dr Ha is a Launceston local who obtained her dental degree from the University of Queensland and following graduation found her way back to her roots in Launceston. With a heart for her hometown, she's all about making her patients feel right at home when they come visit her too. Dedicated to providing personalised patient care, she enjoys getting to know you and ensures that every individual not only feels at ease throughout their dental journey, but also leave with a smile that radiates confidence!

Having been with the Innova Dental group for over 5 years, Dr Ha has established herself as an amazing all-rounder who practices all aspects of General Dentistry. Dr Ha’s expertise lies in Orthodontics, Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry, and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental care to perfect those pearly whites. Dr Ha has completed a two-year orthodontic training program and provides orthodontic care for children, teens and adults. She is a certified Invisalign and Spark clear aligner provider.

Beyond the dental chair, she indulges her passion for culinary exploration and travel, all while maintaining a healthy lifestyle to balance her love for food. Need food recs? Dr Ha is a serious foodie and will be your go-to - she will have a list for you!

Dr Lim is our ever so smiley dentist who graduated from the University of Manchester. After practising for 2 years in the UK, Dr Lim decided to make the big move and make Australia her new home in 2019. “Being a dentist has allowed me to create connections and journey with people from all walks of life and the experiences are often always very eye opening and rewarding”.

Into her 5th year with Innova Dental, Dr Lim has established herself as a reputable clinician with a broad skillset. When it comes to patient care, Dr Lim always makes sure she engages with her patients throughout their visit, keeps them informed and helps them make decisions that suit their needs and achieve their goals whether it is achieving better oral health or a better smile. “I enjoy connecting with my patients - I want to look after them, not just as a patient but a person” says Dr Lim.

Dr Lim is a superstar at all things General Dentistry, and she has developed a keen interest Endodontics (yes, she finds great satisfaction a nicely completed root canal and getting her patients out of pain) and Aesthetic Dentistry.

Her second office is her kitchen! On the weekends, you would most likely find Dr Lim in the kitchen, experimenting with new recipes or recreating flavours from home - Malaysia.

Originally from Melbourne, Dr Xi graduated from La Trobe University in Victoria and has experience working in both the public and private sectors of Dentistry. Dr Xi most recently worked in regional Victoria before relocating to Launceston to join us here at Innova Dental in early 2021.

He enjoys the tight knitted sense of community in regional cities, sees and understands the challenges regional communities face and is passionate about delivering personalised care and improving the overall dental health of the population. Dr Xi has a large range of expertise from General Dentistry to wisdom teeth surgery and has a special interest in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Dentistry rebuilding decayed and broken down bites and transforming the smiles and lives of his patients. Driven by his passion, he has undergone advance training in full mouth rehabilitations, composite bonding and porcelain veneers. What he finds most rewarding is seeing his patients regain confidence with their smiles again after years of hiding it.

Dr Jess graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree after earning her Bachelor of Biomedicine. Following her education, she became a Member of The Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons. She has practiced dentistry in regional Victoria for two years before relocating to Tasmania and continued to refine her professional skills by completing post graduate dental implant training programs.

Dr Jess aims to provide quality dental treatment with a gentle and caring chairside manner. She likes to get to know her patients through open and honest communication in order to help them achieve their dream smile. Dr Jess enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a special interest in wisdom teeth extractions and dental implants. Seeing Dr Jess truly committed to improving the quality of lives of her patients and the community she is in is one of the reasons why we are so lucky to have Dr Jess as part of our team!

Outside of dentistry, Jess is a keen traveller and loves exploring new places. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also likes to keep herself fit by going to the gym or hiking.

Dr Olan graduated from Griffith University on the sunny Gold Coast and took the trip across the Bass Strait not only to escape the humidity, but to explore the beauty Tassie has to offer.

What drew Dr Olan to Dentistry was not only the ability to help people regain their confidence through their smile, but the challenge to change the negative perceptions surrounding dentistry. Many patients say they "hate the dentist" or "have had negative experiences in the past" which sadly is very common and ultimately drives Dr Olan to provide patients with a gentle, positive and empowering experience. And this is one of the many reason why we love having Dr Olan on our team!

Dr Olan enjoys all aspects of General Dentistry. Outside of the clinic her passions lie in the outdoors - she loves hiking, touch footy and travelling. Dr Olan also works closely with a non-profit organisation to provide underprivileged children with access to much needed healthcare that they otherwise would not receive. Giving back in this way has been one of the most fulfilling parts of her career and she makes an effort to travel to third world countries each year to do this.

After graduating from the University of Otago, Dr Christine started her career in New Zealand, working in private practices across Hamilton and the Waikato region before relocating to the beautiful island of Tasmania.

From an early age, the positive experiences that she continuously had at the dentist has inspired her to pursue Dentistry, and Dr Christine is dedicated to provide the same positive experience that she has experienced to everyone. With a gentle manner and a warm caring demeanour, she is committed to listen attentively to your needs and provide a high standard of care.

As a firm believer of prevention is better than cure, Dr Christine believes that good oral health starts early, and taking the time to educate her patients is key to making sure they feel well-informed and empowered to achieve their goals of a healthy smile. She enjoys all aspects of General Dentistry, with a special interest in Restorative Dentistry, and undergoes continuous education to upskill herself to provide the best dental care to her patients.

Outside of Dentistry, Dr Christine is passionate about music and having a creative outlet. She enjoys singing, going on food adventures, and exploring the lovely landscapes of Tasmania and Australia.

Dr Eric graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Dentistry from La Trobe University. His interest in dentistry started from a young age, from his positive experiences at his childhood visits to the dentist.

With a strong focus on preventative Dentistry, Dr Eric is passionate about ensuring that every child gets the best possible start to their dental health journey. He’d like everyone's experiences at the dentist to be as pleasant as his were. Dr Eric endeavours to make the dental experience as comfortable as possible for everyone through his approachable demeanour and gentle nature. Combined with your favourite show on Netflix, headphones, and a warm cozy blanket.. you can guarantee your time under Dr Eric’s care will be calm and stress free!

Outside of the clinic, Dr Eric likes to keep active, playing badminton and going to the gym in his spare time. An avid music enthusiast, he finds joy in playing and learning new instruments. If you happen to hear melodic tunes echoing through the practice, you can bet it’s Dr Eric indulging in his passion for singing between patient appointments!

Dr Justine is a dentist devoted to delivering exceptional care to her patients. Graduating with two degrees, Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Adelaide, she is deeply invested in enhancing your smile.

To Dr Justine, a positive dental experience is of utmost importance, prioritising communication and comfort to empower you to achieve your individual oral health goals. With a fervent dedication to Preventative Dentistry, she is committed in maintaining lifelong healthy smiles. Outside the clinic, Dr Justine finds joy in leisurely walks and aspires to travel and explore new places whenever possible. She is always up for a challenge, whether it is trying out new activities or embarking on adventurous hikes. And don't be surprised if you hear some 80s hits playing in the background – it's her jam!

Dr. Mim is a passionate and approachable dentist who believes that every patient deserves a positive, stress-free dental experience. Inspired by her own fantastic childhood visits to the dentist, she pursued a career in dentistry to help create the same positive experiences for her patients.

Dr Mim earned a Bachelor of Dental Science with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland. With a special interest in restorative and preventative dentistry, she is dedicated to helping patients regain and maintain optimal oral health. She finds great satisfaction in guiding patients to a place where their dental health is stable, allowing them to feel confident in their smiles.

Dr. Mim creates a light-hearted and welcoming environment by using humour to put patients at ease. She believes that the key to a positive dental experience is truly listening to each patient’s concerns and tailoring treatments to their individual needs. By fostering open communication, she ensures patients feel comfortable, valued, and in control of their oral health journey.

What she finds most rewarding is when patients express that they actually look forward to their dental visits. She strives to make every appointment as relaxed and enjoyable as possible, helping patients overcome any fears or anxieties they may have. Her approach focuses on honest conversations, education, and empowering patients with the knowledge and tools to care for their smiles long-term.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Mim enjoys watching and playing sports, with the Matildas and Arsenal among her favourite teams. She loves travelling, particularly to Japan for its food, culture, and skiing. She also spends time walking her Great Dane at the dog beach and has taken up knitting, although progress is slow. Her music taste ranges from Australian indie pop, like Lime Cordiale and San Cisco, to country artists such as Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen. A fun fact that often surprises people is that "Mim" isn’t short for anything—her brother made it up when she was a baby, and her parents decided to go with it!

Rob is our very experienced Dental Prosthetist – your go-to man for all things dentures. Full dentures, partial dentures, implant-retained dentures, repairs and tooth additions.

Rob has had a long career in Dental Prostheses working in and managing dental labs, teaching at Charles Sturt University. Prior to relocating to Tasmania and joining us in 2021, Rob owned and ran his own denture clinic in Bathurst, New South Wales. We are so fortunate Rob has chosen to call Tasmania home.

You’ll see Rob around the practice on Mondays and Tuesdays. When not making dentures, Rob can be found working on his small horse holding with his partner Jane (Rob and Jane have 16 horses!) or sailing on the Tamar with his mates in the floating men’s shed called “Kidnap”.
